In a recent interview, I had the opportunity to chat with Jessica Pullano and Sierra Lee about how we collaborated to create BAYCAT InFocus in the fall of 2022. BAYCAT InFocus was a new kind of networking event that brought together diverse storytellers, industry professionals, and community members to connect, share stories, and build meaningful relationships.
I consulted with BAYCAT on the event structure, guiding questions, creatives directory, and long-term outcomes of the event. We put a focus on using storytelling to help us shape the experience into something lasting and memorable.
Airbnb Australia Policy Media
In 2017, we had only a few short weeks to create a 360 Policy Media Campaign to influence lawmakers in New South Wales, Australia to pass fair home sharing regulations. I got to fly down to Sydney to direct and produce our media campaign featuring wonderful senior and strata (condo) hosts. We used our stories and assets across TV, radio, print, digital, Out of Home, email, landing pages, and more!
Week of Process
When the Global Policy Digital team was struggling with inefficient workflows and showing signs of burn out, I created and facilitated a wonky offsite called “Week of Process.” Using design thinking, the team came together to craft organized systems, prototype new tools, and build team morale.
Heritage Travel is on the Rise
Airbnb set out to own the category of heritage travel. To do that, we built a multi-channel campaign based around a partnership with 23andMe.
Dinner with Barack
The Dinner with Barack contest was one of the biggest fundraising projects of the campaign. I was honored to produce four Dinner with Barack videos (including one with Michelle Obama too!) Ultimately, being a fly on the wall for these rich and uncensored conversations with President Obama were some of my favorite moments on the campaign.
Cash Mob for Avi
I directed, shot second camera, edited, and produced the entire project. The feel good film was a viral sensation! It hit the front page of Reddit, and racked up hundreds of thousands of views from around the world. Our film was featured in ABC World News Tonight. We also raised $20,000 from the generous viewers from around the world who were moved by Avi’s Story.
