I relaunched my website and Story Coaching business one year ago this week! π
Join me in taking a pause to reflect back on the last year with my Story of Your Year Workbook.
One year ago this week, I stood alone in my home office, running on only three-hours of sleep. π
I had SquareSpace pulled up on my monitor. My iPhone was set up to record the moment.
After months of work, I was finally about to flip the proverbial switch and shift the direction of my career.
So with a click of a button, I set my snazzy new website live. π₯
This moment was momentous. π
It was the culmination of a lot of reflecting, connecting and dreaming about how I want to enable people to use our stories to build a better future.
But that day in my office was also the closing of a chapter. It marked my pivot away from more traditional consulting.
It was really the start of my next chapter. β¨
One where I am consciously choosing to follow my desire to help individuals explore the power of your personal stories.
Because I deeply believe that when you unlock your innate storytelling skills, you create positive change in your life, in the lives of your community, and in the greater world. π
So here we are 365 days into this new chapter, and what an incredibly busy and growth-filled year it has been! π
As an entrepreneur, I know I have a tendency to be in go mode all the time. Constantly looking forward to the next project or plan. Push, push, pushing in the pursuit of bringing in new clients or expanding my offerings.
(Can any of my entrepreneur friends out there relate?? π©)
But if Iβm real with you, this means that my TO-DO lists get pretty overwhelming sometimes.
So today, I want to write a DONE list, instead. π
Iβm taking a pause to celebrate the incredible story that I have been living in for the last year as I've grown my business.
I crunched some numbers and wow! π€©
I am amazed (and proud) to see all that Iβve built this year, and so honored to have so many wonderful people join me in my offerings.
11 storytelling events with venues like Mannyβs, Groundfloor, and the Battery. π₯
16 workshops and corporate workshops with fantastic partners like BAYCAT, ComePlum, ClimateVine, Dream.org, and YLabs. π
7-week small group coaching program called Shape Your Career With Storytelling with 5 amazing storytellers. π¬
60 Story Coaching clients who sat with me anywhere from 1 session to 10-months to find, shape, and share their most powerful stories. β‘
Whether they are changing careers, building their businesses, or growing their movements, their stories are helping them create the impact they desire in this world.
I tallied all these offerings, plus everyone on my email list (thatβs you!!)
In this first year of my Story Coaching business, I served over 1200 humans! π€
That adds up to SO MANY AMAZING STORIES!
Today, I am not just celebrating these numbers, but more importantly, I am celebrating YOU - the brave and fascinating people who are with me on this storytelling journey. ππ»ππ»ππ»
So no matter where you are in your journey, I invite you to also take a moment to reflect on where you were a year ago and see how far you've come.
Remember, you are IN a story right now, and when you look back and see the journey you've been on, you can take control of how you approach it and where you want to go next.

This has not been an easy year. I've worked my tail off. There have been many highs, AND many lows.
But Iβm so grateful to take this pause to see how far I've come. It reminds me just how much love and care and my own essence I've poured into this business. And it just fuels me up for whatever the next year of my business has to bring.
For now, I am gearing up to take a much-deserved and long-awaited vacation. Iβll be headed to the UK for a friend's wedding π, then to Portugal to learn how to surf πββοΈ, and finally to Paris to check-off a life-bucket list item and attend the Olympics! π₯
(As a spectator, not a competitor. But if you could be an Olympian, what sport would you pick?)
You can follow along on my adventures on Instagram.
When I return in mid-August, I will have new offerings to share, including:
π€ The return of Storytime! (Save the date for Thursday, September 5th in Oakland!)
π£ Opening more sessions for 1:1 Story Coaching clients
π Plus new storytelling worksheets & videos and more!
So to wrap this up, I just want to thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart for joining me on this journey. π
Whether youβve opened my emails (π Hi there! I see you and thanks for reading this far!), attended one of my events, sat with me for a 1:1 Story Coaching session, or just generally cheered me on from the sidelines, I want you to know how much it means to me.
And know that I cannot wait to hear more of your stories moving into this next year of my business!
Here's to what year two of this business will add to the story! π₯
Let's Celebrate!
