You never know who needs to hear your story.

How many times have you heard someone’s story (or even watched a really good movie) and thought to yourself: Me too! 🙋

Or you were at the precipice of starting something hard and it felt impossible.  But then you heard the story of someone else who had done the thing, and it inspired you to keep moving forward?

Or you’re in conversation with someone, and their story sparked a profound memory or insight for you

Seriously, sharing your story is such a gift. ✨

That is why I was thrilled when the BoldJourney asked me to share my story with their readers.

(TBH - this is my first piece of earned media, so it’s a really exciting milestone for me! 🎉

In this wide-ranging interview, I share the story of how getting laid off in 2020 was actually the catalyst moment that propelled me on my path to becoming a Storytelling Coach.

I also explore the science of why storytelling is so powerful and why I am so passionate about creating transformative storytelling spaces where people can practice their innate storytelling skills.

Plus, it’s got some practical tips if you are ready to start exploring your stories to shape your next career move, build confidence, and grow a supportive community.

For years, I thought I didn’t have any “good” stories because my life lacked Hollywood-worthy drama. But when I carved out dedicated time for self-reflection, seemingly mundane experiences unveiled profound meanings. Exploring your life stories helps extract valuable lessons, identify your unique strengths, and spot patterns that fuel personal growth.
Trust me, you have important narratives to share – prioritize the time to go inward and find them.
— Liz Morrison

And after you read the interview, if you're curious to start harnessing the power of your stories to shape the next chapter of your career - I’ve got a FREE Career Storytelling Worksheet for you!

It includes fun storytelling exercises inspired by the story I shared in this interview. They will help you look back at your past experiences, so you can get clear on your present narratives, and confidently write the career story you want to create next

So what stories from your life do you want to share to create connections and inspire others?

I can’t wait to hear them! 🤗

P.S. A special thanks to my friend and fellow badass coach Lis Best for nominating me for this interview. And to Jessica Monroy for all her incredible photography that brings my story and vibe to life! As you'll read in the interview, it takes a village to create the life story you desire, and these two fabulous women have been such an inspiration and encouragement to me from the start. I am so glad they are part of my story!
