Live Your Best Life Life

Wednesday, July 5th • 4-6 PM PT • Virtual

Join Storytelling Coach Liz Morrison in an interactive and introspective workshop exploring moments of joy and happiness in your lives. Liz calls these "Best Life Life" moments.

These moments can be big and bubbly, like dancing at your friend’s wedding, to small and subtle, like sipping the perfect cup of coffee on a lazy Sunday morning. Studies show that recalling these positive experiences help lower stress and boost resilience

In this workshop, you’ll not only build a list of these happy moments, but you’ll learn how to shape your Best Life Life memories into engaging stories.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

💬 GROUP DISCUSSION:

We’ll ground in a discussion about what makes Best Life Life moments, and Liz will share her Best Life Life origin story. Then we’ll share examples of Best Life Life moments from our lives, and spot the patterns and elements that make these moments special.

📝 INDIVIDUAL JOURNALING & REFLECTION:

Using a storytelling worksheet, you’ll have time to answer guided prompts to uncover specific Best Life Life moments from your life. Then you’ll learn how to shape one memory into an engaging story.

👥 COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS:

We’ll get into small groups and share stories of our Best Life Life moments. You’ll find connections with your fellow group mates, and talk about the ways we can actively find more joy and gratitude in our lives.

By the end of this workshop, you’ll have a big storehouse of happy memories, one rough draft of a story, and a newfound tool to create more joy and gratitude in your lives.

Bring your iPad or computer to participate in the digital worksheet or write responses in your own journal.

STORYTELLING FOR A GOOD CAUSE

🚀 In celebration of the launch of Liz’s new website, she’s donating 50% of all proceeds from this workshop to BAYCAT. BAYCAT addresses racial, gender and economic inequity by creating powerful, authentic media while diversifying the creative industry. Through the education and employment of low-income youth, young people of color, young women, and LGBTQIA+ folks in the Bay Area, and producing media for socially-minded clients, we are changing the stories that get shared with the world.
