Shape Your Career With Storytelling

Cohort 3 Launching October 23, 2023

Use proven storytelling tools & frameworks to reflect on your career journey and craft the job story you want to tell next.

Your career is more than a list of jobs on your resume. It's your unique story.

You have the power to take control of your career narrative. When you do, you’ll be able to use your stories in powerful ways, whether that’s landing your next role, inspiring your peers, or influencing your organization.

This experience is part class and part group coaching. Over six weeks, you'll intentionally reflect on your job triumphs & failures, identify meaningful career themes, and speak truth to your true passions. You'll learn key storytelling skills and practice telling engaging and impactful stories that inspire action.

Join this small and supportive group for a journey of personal and professional growth. You'll boost your confidence and embark on an empowering path forward.

By the end of our journey together, you'll be able to:

  • Identify career experiences that illustrate your talents, passions, and values

Explore key moments from your career using thought-provoking prompts and fun storytelling frameworks. Develop a list of career moments that you can turn into engaging and empowering stories.

  • Shape your stories to grab attention and connect deeper

Apply storytelling frameworks to make your stories clear, compelling, and concise. Develop the emotional undercurrent of your stories to unlock important life lessons.

  • Tailor your stories to inspire your audiences to take action

Every story has an audience, even if that audience is you. By understanding your audience on a human level, you can tweak your story to hook them and make a clear ask that will lead to action.

  • Confidently share at least one career story with your fellow students

We spend so much of our life at work, but we have very few spaces to share our work stories. We'll create a safe and supportive environment to share your stories, get feedback, practice active listening, and learn how to ask better follow-up questions.

  • Proactively create the career story you want to tell next

You are the author of your own story, so you get to decide where it goes next. Use storytelling prompts and techniques to imagine the career you want to build and map the journey you’ll take to get there.
